Just thoughts

I photograph what I like, whether it is considered good or bad...I love doing it. I don't know if will ever amount to anything, but the point is I don't think I care, because it makes me happy. Simple.

These two are just for Katie...she loves shades of blue, I didn't use photoshop but another program I have....I really just wanted to make them fun for her. ; )

Being a child is beautiful

Doren is very close to my heart so I feel like when I take pictures of him, I am sharing a bit of myself with others. Thank you Kat and Jess for allowing me to photograph your beautiful son :)

Tree huggers!

I think I have an obsession with trees, they are strong, with roots and they have a past. I really liked these two pics.

Lee suggested this...

We have some amazing sunrises and sunset right from our backyard. The problem that I am facing is that my lens won't zoom in any closer than this...I know now why I will need to upgrade to a different lens sometime in the future.

A day at the Salon

I didn't want people staring at me, so I only took pictures when there didn't seem to be an audience. Maybe I could take some more pictures later at the salon. I really likes the polishes, the colors and how they were all in line so I shot them!

Playing with the lens manually

This is it, from now on I am manually manipulating the lens myself, so they may or may not be the best pictures until I get the hang of it!

Excited!

I have been playing with the manual settings, yes at first it does suck...but I wanted to challenge myself a little bit. I will post some of the shots I took manipulating the lens and settings, they of course aren't very good right now. I did get a few helpful hints from Kelley and when I got home started to mess with the lens...

Back by popular demand....EMMA!!!

Thinking out loud.

I am having so many ideas that flood me at once, it gets hard to focus. I think every time I shoot, I realize something or another light bulb turns on...is this supposed to happen? I guess what I am saying is I am learning from my camera...I shoot and then upload and study the pics, what I could have done different...etc. The biggest problem for me is taking too many of the same shots, then I have to go through and it is harder to choose the one I like most...this will be one of my many challenges.

Took sooooooo many pictures of my cousin Kayla, these are really only a few....

I was trying the same thing I did with the picture of Lee and the tree, but this time I think it was a little more successful for what I was trying to achieve.
Kayla was a lot of fun to shoot...I am really loving my camera right now!
